These are BIO apples and cocoa beans of the Criollo variety, which have more cocoa butter than the new hybrid varieties, and their aromas are much more developed. These are fair trade organic beans from Peru. They are gently dried in the sun to preserve all their qualities and benefits. It is an unfermented bean with a subtle flavor that comes from a village in the Amazon, 12 hours from Pirogue.

For the preparations, the cocoa beans are not peeled, so they retain their high fiber content.
"An apple a day keeps the doctor away," is said about the apple. Quercetin and other flavonoids in apples reduce the risk of coronary heart disease. The apple contains pectin, a soluble fiber that can lower cholesterol and prevent the oxidation of LDL cholesterol (the "bad"), which is crucial for preventing heart attack.
